Black and green Silicon Carbide
The silicon carbide is obtained by chemical reaction of a mixture of silicon dioxide and carbon in an electric resistance furnace whose temperature is higher than 2000 ° C.The green silicon carbide is obtained from the fusion core ;it is purer than the black silicon carbide.
